The Kia Carnival facelift has been spotted undergoing testing in India, hinting at its launch during the upcoming festive season.

Carnival 2024 Design Updates:

The undisguised test vehicle reveals several design revisions for the Carnival. The front end boasts updated L-shaped headlights with integrated DRLs and a triple projector setup. A redesigned grille and a sportier bumper further enhance the visual appeal. The rear receives connected LED taillights, new alloy wheels, and relocated side ORVMs mounted on the doors.

The new lighting design, with the front LED bar & the rear connected taillights, bears a resemblance to Kia’s recently launched Seltos. This cohesive design element could potentially become a signature aesthetic for Kia’s latest offerings.

Carnival 2024 Interior Expectations:

While the interiors remain under wraps in the spied images, expectations point towards a comprehensively updated cabin. A new 12.3-inch infotainment system, a digital instrument cluster, and a host of new features are likely to be incorporated. Additionally, the Carnival 2024 is expected to be equipped with ADAS (Advanced Driver-Assistance Systems) technology.

Seating Options And Powertrain Speculations:

The Carnival will likely cater to a variety of seating needs, with configurations ranging from seven to eleven seats being a possibility, although official confirmation is awaited.

On the engine front, the international Carnival offers two options: a 3.5-liter V6 and a 2.2-liter turbo diesel engine. While Kia remains tight-lipped about the confirmed engine for the Indian market, anticipation leans towards the 2.2-liter turbo diesel being offered, mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission.

Price And Competition:

Kia is expected to launch the Carnival 2024 during the festive season later this year. The pricing is likely to see a premium over its predecessor, potentially reaching around Rs 30 lakh (ex-showroom). With its feature set and anticipated pricing, the Carnival 2024 is poised to compete directly with established players in the premium MPV segment, such as the Innova Hycross and the Suzuki Invicto.
